Client Background

Ophelia’s Place empowers girls aged 10–18 by offering holistic programs that nurture mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Through strong collaborations with schools, community organizations, and local leaders, they create safe spaces for growth and self-discovery.

Our Approach

We designed this series to be authentic, engaging, and visually cohesive—focusing on personal narratives that showcase the transformative power of Ophelia’s Place. To maintain a consistent look and feel, we filmed all interviews in a controlled studio environment, ensuring high-quality production and a warm, conversational tone. The handprint backdrop, created by current participants, serves as a powerful visual link between past and present, reinforcing the organization’s mission of support and empowerment.

About the Project

In celebration of Ophelia’s Place’s 20th anniversary, we are collaborating with their communications team to develop a 12-part interview series featuring past program participants who are now adults. These stories, shared monthly throughout 2025 on social media and the OP website, highlight the lasting impact of Ophelia’s Place on the lives of young women. Each interview takes place in a studio setting, incorporating a handprint backdrop created by current program youth as a visual representation of OP’s ongoing legacy.

From the client...

“As a nonprofit focused on empowering girl-identified youth ages 10-18 in Eugene, Ophelia's Place enjoyed working with Octavus Media on one of our recent video projects. They were so thoughtful in planning to shoot an event, were stellar professionals the night of, and were prompt with the final cut. The video itself was beautifully shot and well produced - it captured the feeling and event itself so well. Cat & Simon were wonderful. We recommend working with them on your next project.”
