Topics in Cancer

Oregon Cancer Foundation (OCF) is a nonprofit based in Eugene, Oregon. OCF supports people impacted by cancer in Lane County through education, support, and financial assistance, and every one of its programs is free.

They offer support groups, a survivorship series, and stop-gap financial assistance that helps patients cover household expenses, prescriptions, and travel during treatment. OCF also runs the Believe Boutique, which provides wigs and related resources to people going through treatment. Each year, the foundation hosts Topics in Cancer, an educational conference that brings patients, caregivers, providers, and community members together.

Branding a conference experience

Since 2025, Story Squire has partnered with OCF on the branding and media for Topics in Cancer. Through OCF’s Fractional Designer subscription, we developed the conference brand and carried it across every attendee touchpoint, including:

• Newsletter (digital and print) promotions

• Social media promotions (for attendees & volunteers)

• Name tags

• Tote bags & water bottles

• Presentation slide templates

• Table décor and activations

• Venue maps & wayfinding

Story Squire also captured event photography, and built a standalone website for the conference, bringing all the creative together and establishing content that will serve the marketing goals of the conference for years to come.
